Biography
Adam Schiff (D) (no relation to the longtime "Law & Order" DA) was a popular, moderate state senator in the California Assembly before running for the 27th Congressional District in 2000. In what was up to that time the costliest Congressional race in history, Schiff defeated 2-term incumbent Jim Rogan in spite of Rogan receiving national attention and conservative acclaim due to his starring role in Bill Clinton's impeachment trial.
Schiff presently serves the 29th Congressional District of California.
