House Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet, and Intellectual Property

From dKosopedia

House Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet, and Intellectual Property
Members, 110th Congress
Democrats: Republicans:

This subcommittee will be chaired Rep. Howard Berman (CA). The subcommittee has two apparently unrelated interests, intellectual property and overseeing the judiciary.

Howard Berman is known as a big supporter of Hollywood's interests, they are his constituents and campaign contributors. This does not bode well for consumers that are opposed to Hollywood's vision of copyright protection as well as for technology companies that run a foul of content owner's restrictions. Many of these issues do not run along partisan lines.
