Rush Holt, Jr. (D) is a New Jersey congressman, who represents the 12th district in the U.S. House. He was first elected to Congress in 1998.

Background
Holt is a former Princeton University physicist and past intelligence analyst at the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research, where he worked on nuclear proliferation.
Holt voted against the Iraq War.
His father, Rush Dew Holt, was a Senator from West Virginia, and his mother was the Secretary of State of West Virginia.
