Fulgencio Batista

From dKosopedia

Gen. Fulgencio Batista y Zaldívar was the corrupt, anti-communist military dictator of Cuba who was driven from power by Fidel Castro in the 1959 Cuban Revolution.

Baatista ruled Cuba from 1933 to 1944 and then again from 1952 to 1959. His corruption, brutality and willingness to subordinate his country to American imperialism sparked popular opposition that ultimately led to his overthrow.
