Heath Shuler is an Democratic athlete and businessman from North Carolina, who won election to Congress from the 11th District. See North Carolina U.S. House election, 2006.

Heath Shuler was born on December 31, 1971 in Swain County, North Carolina. In 1994, he achieved a life long dream of playing quaterback for the NFL, but his career was cut short by an injury. He went on to found a successful real estate firm, and he has been involved with many community activities.

Heath and his wife, Nikol, have two young children.
