Charles "Chip" Pickering, a U.S. Congressional Representative from Mississippi serving the third Congressional District. First elected as a Republican to the United States House of Representatives in 1996, Pickering has won five succeeding elections to Congress. He plans to resign in 2008.
Pickering was born in Laurel, Jones County, Miss. on August 10, 1963. He has five children.
