Gary Kucinich is a Democratic businessman from Ohio, and the brother of Congressman Dennis Kucinich. He unsuccessfully ran for Congress in the 13th District, see Ohio U.S. House election, 2006. He has previously been elected to the Cleveland City Council and School Board. He is a Marine corps veteran, like his father before him, which allows him to be called a Fighting Dem

He and his wife Denise have four children. His son was serving with the Marines in Iraq during the election.

He lost the 2006 primary to Betty Sutton.
