The 2004 Presidential election was held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 between incumbent Republican President George W. Bush and Democratic Senator John Kerry. George Bush won the election by 2.4% over John Kerry.

  • George Bush/Dick Cheney (R): 286
  • One Elector from the state of Minnesota mistakenly voted for John Edwards twice -- once for President and again for Vice President.

Popular Vote:

  • George Bush/Dick Cheney (R): 59,028,444 -- 48.3%
