Tolerance policy

Tolerance Policy refers to the approach to public policy making which declines to regulate behavior that is widespread, which many in society think should not be made illegal, or which is prohibitive in cost to prevent through punishment. The Netherlands Dutch pioneered the aproach with policies on drug use, abortion, euthanasia and prostitution are examples.
