Framing: “Total Information Awareness”

This page is for creating frames about Total Information Awareness (TIA) Program. This is a program of the DARPA Information Awareness Office designed to integrate information technologies into a prototype system to provide tools to better detect, classify, and identify potential foreign terrorists to increase the probability authorized U.S. agencies could preempt adverse (terrorist) actions. Critics see the system as prone to potential misuse or abuse.
