Dale E. Kildee is the Democratic Representative for the 5th Congressional District MI-05 of Michigan.

Kildee was born in Flint, Michigan on September 16, 1929. [1]

In 1952, Rep. Kildee earned a B.A. from Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit, Michigan. He received his Teacher's Certificate from the University of Detroit in 1955. From 1958 - 1959, he conducted his graduate studies in history and political science at the University of Peshawar, Pakistan, under a Rotary Foundation Fellowship. [2]

From 1954 - 1956, Rep. Kildee taught at the University of Detroit High School and then from 1956 - 1964 at Flint Central High School. [3]

Rep. Kildee was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 1964. He was elected to the Michigan State Senate, 25th District in 1974. [4]

In 1976, Rep. Kildee was elected to the United States House of Representatives. [5]
