Campbell Estate

Campbell Estate is a for-profit trust set up by Scottish carpenter James Campbell to benefit his heirs. Its holdings were valued at $3 million when it was founded. [1]

As of Dec. 31, 2005, the trust was valued at $2.3 billion and its assets included 55,400 acres of land in Hawaii and 16.6 million square feet of office, retail and industrial properties on continental U.S. [2]

The Estate of James Campbell, one of the United States' largest family fortunes, terminated on January 20, 2007. The majority of the estate's assets is transferred to a successor entity, James Campbell Co. [3]
