Wyoming

From dKosopedia

Wikipedia has an article on:

The smallest, by population, state in the Union with just over 500,000 residents. North of Colorado, South of Montana, East of Idaho and Utah. Wyoming was the first state to permanently grant women the right to vote, and was the first state to elect a woman governor, Nellie Tayloe Ross, in 1924. Wyoming is safely Republican in political leanings at the national level, though Democrats have held the governorship more than half of the time since statehood was granted in 1890. Lyndon Johnson was the last Democratic presidential candidate to carry Wyoming, in 1964. Wyoming's last Democratic member of Congress retired in 1978 and was succeeded by Dick Cheney. It has no major metropolitan areas.
