Tom Osborne (b. February 23, 1937, Hastings, Nebraska), was a Republican Congressman representing Nebraska's 3rd district. Osborne gave up his safe seat to run for governor of Nebraska in 2006, see Nebraska gubernatorial election, 2006, but he narrowly lost the primary to incumbent governor Dave Heineman.
