The Path to 9/11 is the title of a "docu-drama" scheduled to air September 10 and 11, 2006, on ABC (US) and BBC 2 (UK). Timed to cioncide with the 5 year anniversary of September 11, 2001, the six hour miniseries has been criticized for its extreme bias in portraying the events leading up to 9/11, unfairly blaming President Bill Clinton and unfairly vindicating President George W. Bush. The series is widely understood to be part of a continuing effort by conservatives to help the second Bush administration avoid its responsibility for not preventing the attacks on September 11, 2001.

Alleged by conservative writer Govindini Murty ABC's 'The Path to 9/11' to be based on the 9/11 Commission Final Report issued July 22, 2004, and the 2003 book The Cell: Inside the 9/11 Plot and Why the FBI and CIA Failed to Stop It by journalists John Miller, Michael Stone, and Chris Mitchell, it was written and produced by Cyrus Nowrasteh.

Diarist Yosef 52 writes:

This piece of disgusting Republican bullshit is already being promoted by Rush Limbaugh and the fanatic, right-wing Swift Boat lunatics. We need to mobilize against this NOW--loudly and clearly. Our objective should be simple: KILL THIS BROADCAST. FORCE ABC TO WITHDRAW IT.
