Stuart W. Bowen Jr.

From dKosopedia

Stuart W. Bowen Jr. is a Republican lawyer, who was the first and only head of the Office of the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction. Bowen worked for George W. Bush both in Texas and at the White House, but he has been an effective IG. According to the New York Times:

Investigations led by a Republican lawyer named Stuart W. Bowen Jr. in Iraq have sent American occupation officials to jail on bribery and conspiracy charges, exposed disastrously poor construction work by well-connected companies like Halliburton and Parsons, and discovered that the military did not properly track hundreds of thousands of weapons it shipped to Iraqi security forces.

His office began operation in January 2004, and it is scheduled for termination on October 1, 2007.
