Steve Young was the Democratic candidate for the 48th Cangressional District in southern California, but he lost to the incumbent, see California U.S. House election, 2006. The 48th district includes Newport Beach, Tustin, Laguna Beach, El Toro, Irvine and Laguna Niguel.
Steve Young has twenty-six years experience as a trial attorney in Orange County. In more than 125 jury trials, his typical client is the lone person facing overwhelming odds.
Young was born in Southern California and raised in Utah. His mother was a nurse, his father worked in the aerospace industry.
Young is a graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law.
