Steve Buyer

Steve Buyer is a Republican congressman from Indiana's 4th district. He was first elected to Congress in 1992.
Buyer is a 1980 distinguished military graduate (DMG) of The Citadel. Upon graduation, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Army Reserve as a Medical Service Corps Officer. After graduation from Valparaiso Law School, Buyer branch transferred to the Judge Advocate General Corps and was called to active duty for a period of three years. In the fall of 1990, Buyer was called to active duty on three days notice to participate in the Persian Gulf War. He has received many medals and commendations.
He and his wife Joni have two children.
