Stephanie Stuckey Benfield

Stephanie Stuckey Benfield is the Representative for the 85th District (Dekalb County) of the Georgia House of Representatives. First elected in 1988, she is a native Georgian and the third generation of her family to serve in the Georgia General Assembly. Her grandfather, Williamson Sylvester Stuckey served in the General Assembly and founded the candy store chain which is still a family business.

Representative Stephanie Stuckey Benfield has authored legislation to lower property taxes on seniors, mandate equal treatment for girl’s public school athletic programs, access to medical records, deter domestic violence, and reform child custody laws.
