Simon Rosenberg

Simon B. Rosenberg is President and Founder of the New Democrat Network (NDN).

Rosenberg transformed the NDN, which he founded in 1996, from a Washington-based political action committee into a national network supporting ideas, initiatives and leaders considered to be "New Democrat" ot "centerist" Democrats.

Before founding NDN, he served as a member of two presidential campaigns, working for Michael Dukakis in Iowa in 1987-88 and for Bill Clinton in the New Hampshire primary and the Little Rock War Room in 1991-92. From 1993-1996, he worked at the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Leadership Council, the later he since left to found the NDN.

His written work has been featured in several books, including the movies about the 1992 campaign, Feed and War Room. In the 1980s and early 1990s, Rosenberg worked as a television news writer and producer for programs that appeared on ABC News, PBS, and various cable stations.

He is a member of the Aspen Institute’s 2001 Class of Henry Crown Fellows and served on the 2004 Democratic National Convention Platform Committee. A 1985 graduate of Tufts University, Rosenberg and his family live in Washington, DC.

In late 2004, he his name has surfaced as a cnadiate for the DNC Chair.
