Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman

Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman is a radical Egptian Sunni Islamist theologian. Blind since the age of 10 months because of diabetes, Rahman completed a Ph.D. in Islamic jurisprudence at University of al-Azhar in Cairo. As a professor of theology he adapted the teachings of the Egyptian Sayyid Qutb and the Pakistani Abul Ala el-Mawdudi.
