Scott Stanzel

Scott Stanzel is the Deputy White House press secretary.

Stanzel appears willing to perpetuate the adminsitration's lie that the secular Iraqi Baathist government of Saddam Hussein was responsiuble for the September 11, 2001 attacks on the WTC and Pentagon by the Sunni Islamists of al-Qaeda. On december 31, 2006 he said the following in reponse to quetions about continuing U.S. military losses in Iraq: "We will be fighting violent jihadists for peace and security of the civilized world for years to come.
