Santos A. Cardona

From dKosopedia

Army Sgt. Santos A. Cardona, a dog handler, was convicted in May of 2006 for abusing detainees at Abu Ghraib prison. He became the 11th soldier to be convicted for their actions at that prison, all of whom are enlisted troops. As of June 2, 2006, no officers have been convicted; however, Lt. Col. Steven L. Jordan is facing a court martial.

After his conviction, Cardona paid a fine, was reduced in rank and served 90 days of hard labor at Ft. Bragg, N.C. In November of 2006, Cardona was sent back to Iraq to train Iraqi police officers.
