Introduction
Robert Aderholt represents the Fourth District. He is a Republican based in Haleyville. Aderholt was first elected in 1996 as the youngest Republican member in Congress at the time, defeating Bob Wilson Jr. by a scant 3,491 votes out of 205,917 cast. He faces Democrat Carl Cole in the 2004 race. Aderholt serves on the Appropriations Committee and has district offices in Jasper, Cullman, Gadsden, and Decatur.
