Reginald Purbrick

Reginald Purbrick was the Conservative British MP who stood in the House of Commons on February 7, 1945 to demand to know why Dresden and Würzburg had not yet been bombed by the RAF? Purbrick got part of his wish when Dresden was bombed on February 13-14 and some 40,000 died, most of them civilians and many of them refugees. On March 16, when RAF Bomber Group No. 5 destroyed 90% of Würzburg city with incendiary bombs and kiled 5,000 of its civilian residents.
