Rape Prosectutions in the Military
From dKosopedia
Sexual assault and harassment are deeply rooted in today's armed forces. The problem is further complicated by a system that has been unable or unwilling to effectively address this issue over the years. Far too many military leaders have turned their heads to the ongoing abuses and far too many victims have been further harmed by a culture that perpetrates and minimizes the abuse. These types of responses represent a breakdown of values, a disconnection from the military's true mission, and a loss of honor for those involved.--Chapter one, paragraph one of http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0789012227/qid=1086728755/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-2551913-6103024?v=glance&s=books For Love of Country: Confronting Rape and Sexual Harassment in the U.S. Military</a> by Terri Spahr Nelson
Rape and sexual harassment are problems in the U.S. military more so than in the civilian workforce, although there has never been definitive research quantifying the problem to the best of my knowledge.
