Qatar

Small country on a peninsula on the eastern edge of the Arabian peninsula. The capital and largest city is Doha, which was host to the 2001 WTO ministerial. The US military operates a large base just outside of Doha. The Arabic-language news station Al Jazeera is funded by, and based in, Qatar.
