Like the rest of Oklahoma, the territory of the Third District was originally owned by Native Americans, many of whom were expelled from ancestral lands to the east. Before being absorbed by white settlers, the territory of the Second District was owned by the Cheyenne, Arapaho, Wichita, Caddo, Commanche, Kiowa and Apache.
Republican Frank D. Lucas (hw) is the incumbent U.S. Representative.
