National Counterproliferation Center

The National Counterproliferation Center (NCPC) was established within the Office of the United States Director of National Intelligence on December 21, 2005. The NCPC will coordinate strategic planning within the Intelligence Community to enhance intelligence support to United States efforts to stem the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and related delivery systems. The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 specifically mandated the existence of the NCPC.
The NCPC's first director is Ambassador Kenneth C. Brill.
