Montgomery County, Ohio

Montgomery County is located in South-West Ohio, the county seat is Dayton. Montgomery County is narrowly Democratic, with the north-east portion of the county including the city of Dayton voting heavily Democratic and the South and West voting heavily Republican.

Elections

In 2000 Al Gore won Montgomery County 49%-47%, and in 2004 John Kerry won Montgomery County 50%-49%[1]

Representation

In the US Congress Montgomery County is represented by Minority Leader John Boehner (R) in the 8th District and former Dayton Mayer Mike Turner (R) in the 3rd District.


Political Groups

Montgomery County is home to several active progressive groups including the County Democratic Party, University of Dayton College Democrats and the Montgomery County Young Democrats
