Midge Decter

Midge Decter is a Neoconservative writer and speaker. Currently on the board of the Heritage Foundation and the Institute of Religion and Public Life, Ms. Decter is known for her anti-Feminist and hawkish foreign policy views. She is married to Conservative writer and editor Norman Podhoretz.

In May, 2004, Ms. Decter came under fire regarding remarks she made on the Warren Olney radio show in Los Angeles, during which she said about Iraq, "We're not in the Middle East to bring sweetness and light to the world. We're there to get something we and our friends in Europe depend on. Namely, oil."
