Log Cabin Republicans

The Log Cabin Republicans are a dissident or troll group within the Republican Party at both federal and state level. They are more like libertarians in outlook, especially on social issues, where they favour less intervention to ensure social justice, but also no systematic discrimination against for instance homosexuals in matters where they deal with the state.

Some positions they take include:

position:the state has no place in the bedroom, i.e. no sodomy law

Because these people and other dissidents like John McCain and Colin Powell exist and are quite vocal, it is not entirely reasonable to use the term:Republican as if it were strictly a description of evil or stupidity. Nor is it technically correct to take positions that do this, although it is perfectly acceptable in position:namespace to make extreme statements:

position:Republicans are unbiblical on abortion

since, all this does is speak to the credibility of the position itself, not of dkosopedia itself which does not endorse statements on the position:list.
