Larry Kissell is a Democratic teacher and former textile worker from North Carolina. He is a Life Member and Deacon of First Baptist Church - Biscoe, NC. He graduated from Wake Forest University. He and his wife Tina have two children.

Kissell ran for Congress in the 8th District, but he lost to the incumbent by less than 500 votes, see North Carolina U.S. House election, 2006.
