Republican Rep. Richard Baker (hw) resigned on Feb. 7, 2008 to take a lobbying job with the Hedge Fund industry. On May 3, Democratic State Rep. Donald Cazayoux beat Republican Woody Jenkins with Cazayoux winning 49 percent of the vote to Jenkins' 46%.
