Joshua B. Bolten is a Republican political advisor. In April 2006, he became the White House Chief of Staff for President George W. Bush. From 2001 to 2006, he was the Director of the Office of Management and Budget. Before that, he served as deputy White House chief of staff in Bush's first term.
Bolten, a former Goldman Sachs executive, is known as a detail-oriented workaholic. His father was a CIA official, and he grew up in Washington D.C. and attended the prestigious St. Albans school, Princeton University and Stanford Law School.
