John Hoeven

John Hoeven (R) is the Governor of North Dakota. He was elected in 2000 and reelected in 2004.

Hoeven was born in Bismarck, North Dakota. He earned a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College in 1979 and an MBA from Northwestern University in 1981. Hoeven worked as a bank executive from 1986 to 2000, winding up as the president and CEO of the Bank of North Dakota.

Hoeven and his wife Mical (Mikey) have two children.
