Joe Roberts is a Democratic veteran and carpenter from Florida. He ran for Congress in the 1st District, but lost to the incumbent, see Florida U.S. House election, 2006. He is a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, and he is one of the Fighting Dems.

Joe Roberts is a native Pensacolian, and a graduate of the University of West Florida. Joe has participated in humanitarian aid and Christian missionary work in such diverse global locations as Russia and Honduras. He and his wife Sharon Kay have two grown daughters.
