James R. Clapper

From dKosopedia

Lt. Gen. James R. Clapper (USAF, Retired) took office as the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence in April 2007. He has held several high ranking posts in the US military intelligence network. He was the Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) from 2001 until June 2006. Before that, he was the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) from 1992 until ????.

While at the NGA, he used spy satellites to photograph US territory. At the DIA, he presided over a sweeping re-organization that moved most of his analysis experts into the Joint Commands, and which may have damaged US capabililities.
