Information Analysis and Infrastructure Protection Directorate

The Information Analysis and Infrastructure Protection Directorate (IAIP) is a part of the United States Department of Homeland Security, and represents that Department within the Intelligence Community.

The essential function of IAIP is mapping the vulnerabilities of the nation's critical infrastructure against a comprehensive analysis of intelligence and public source information. This function is unique to the federal government and fundamental to the nation's ability to better protect itself from terrorist attack.
