Hakuo Yanagisawa is the Health, Labor and Welfare Minister of Japan. As is true of some other members of the cabinet he suffers from "foot in mouth disease." On January 27, 2007 speech Yanagisawa described Japanese women as birth-giving machines: "The number of women between the ages of 15 and 50 is fixed.
