Deliberative body

From dKosopedia

A deliberative body (or deliberative assembly) is an organization which collectively makes decisions after debate and discussion. Examples of deliberative bodies include legislatures, boards of directors, administrative bodies and membership meetings of a society, club or other voluntary organization. Typically a decision by the body is made by means of a vote on a motion or resolution, following debate and possibly amendment, conducted in accordance with the common (customary) or adopted parliamentary procedure.
