Cronyism

Within weeks after charges of cronyism and Brown simply being unqualified, and many calls in the press to fire Michael Brown, he was no longer head of FEMA. The position:FEMA was unprepared for Hurricane Katrina was not controversial, and had been openly acknowledged by the Bush administration.

Thereafter, Brown became the poster boy for 'cronyism and the dangers of putting unqualified people whose main credential is who they know, not what.
