Consolidated Appropriations Act for 2005

The project hopes to employ as many eyeballs as possible to read the whole text of the omnibus appropriations bill passed by the 108th Congress on November 20, 2004. Readers can access the text of the legislation through the Library of Congress Thomas page here. Simply pick a division of the bill, a page and enter your (not snarky) summary or findings on the appropriate Dkosopedia page below. Suggestions are to document pork barrel projects, earmarks or outrages like the Istook language (see TPM).

The text is broken down into Divisions for the various executive branch departments and legislative branch. The sections for the Divisions are in PDF format as of Nov. 22, so its a bit clunky to text search off the Thomas site. Downloading to your hard drive and then reading is recommended for high-bandwidth users.
