- Conintern
- Another name for The Mighty Wurlitzer with the added connotation of intellectual dishonesty, coined by Slate's Jacob Weisberg in this 1997 article. The term is a play on the words conservative and Comintern, a global organization of national Communist parties of the 1920s and 1930s that was dominated by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Comintern members were required to mindlessly echo the CPSU's often-changing ideological pronouncements, or else.
