===ABB=== Anybody But Bush (daria g)

===AG=== Attorney General. Note that General is a modifier (as in Secretary General or Judge Advocate General), not a rank (as in Colonel or Lieutenant). It is improper to address or refer to the AG as "General". Pluralized as "Attorneys General." (N in Seattle)

===AP=== Associated Press - wire news service similar to Reuters.

===CW=== Conventional Wisdom (pyrrho, skiddie)

===DINO=== Democrat In Name Only, e.g. Zell Miller. (Thomas Kalinowski)

===DLC=== From their website, "The Democratic Leadership Council is an idea center, catalyst, and national voice for a reform movement that is reshaping American politics by moving it beyond the old left-right debate."

DCCC or D Triple C

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Raises funds for House races and sometimes recruits candidates. Headed by a Representative and has other professsional staff.

===DNC=== Democratic National Committee. Governing body of the Democratic party, somewhat synonymous with the party itself. Run by the DNC chairman, currently Howard Dean. Generally responsible for the running and organization of the party, though in recent years known mostly as a fundraising organization.

===DoD=== Department of Defense. (also: DOD)

===FLOTUS=== First Lady of the United States

===GOTV=== Get Out The Vote, see GOTV

===NSC=== National Security Council. Generally the White House as opposed to the DoD or State.

===POTUS=== President of the United States.

===RINO=== Republican In Name Only, e.g. Olympia Snowe. (Thomas Kalinowski)

===SCLM=== So Called Liberal Media

===SCOTUS=== Supreme Court of the United States.

===Sec-=== Secretary of [Department], for example SecDef, for Secretary of Defense.

===State=== Department of State.

===WaPo=== Washington Post
