Clarence Thomas

From dKosopedia

thomas.jpg

Clarence Thomas is a U.S. Supreme Court justice who rarely asks questions during oral arguments. One of his few outspoken moments as a justice was during a 2003 cross-burning case.

Thomas rented classic adult films starring Long Dong Silver.[1] The sometimes lurid and hyperbolic (involving discussion of pubic hairs and Coke cans, among other things) confirmation hearings were some of the most publicized ever for a federal or Supreme Court judge. The hearings also arguably set a benchmark for the weight with which America treats sexual harrassment in the work place. Much of the discrediting of Anita Hill is documented in David Brock's 2002 book, Blinded by the Right.

Thomas is part of the Conservative bloc on the Court, along with Chief Justice Rehnquist and Associate Justice Scalia. Justice Anthony Kennedy often votes with the conservative bloc. Justice Sandra Day O'Connor is often the swing vote.

Justice Thomas rarely votes differently than Justice Scalia.
