BUAV

From dKosopedia

The BUAV or the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection, is an animal rights organization in Britain whose staff and members are dedicated to ending the cruel practice of using animals in medical, cosmetic and other product testing. In addition to being cruel (physical and psychological suffering of helpless fellow creatures), such testing is also wasteful (no resulting breakthroughs for many important diseases despite years of use), unreliable (non-human animals are usually poor models for humans) and outdated (better alternativews exist).
