Brad Ellsworth (born September 11, 1958 in Jasper, Indiana) is the Democratic Representative serving the 8th Congressional District of Indiana. See Indiana U.S. House election, 2006. Ellsworth was first elected to Congress in 2006.

Background

Ellsworth defeated incumbent Republican John Hostettler in 2006 because of public anger over the Iraq War and the absurdity of Hostettler's campaign messages, which included references to "Homosexual agenda," "San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi," "New York liberal Charlie Rangel," 'Detroit liberal John Conyers."
