C. W. Bill Young (Indian Shores) is the Republican Representative from the 10th District of Florida now serving an 18th term in the U.S. House of Representatives. He is the senior member of the Florida congressional delegation and the senior Republican in the House of Representatives.
Young currently serves as Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense and is a member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Quality of Life and Veterans Affairs. Young, 74, was born in Harmarville, Pennsylvania, and moved to the St. Petersburg area at the age of 15. Before being sworn into Congress in 1970, Young served ten years in the Florida State Senate.
Congressman Young has three adult children, and he and his wife, Mrs. Beverly Angello Young, also have three sons, Rob, 28, Billy, 21, and Patrick, 18.
