Anthony D. Weiner

Anthony D. Weiner is a Democratic congressman from the 9th district of New York. He was a staffer for Rep. Charles E. Schumer of New York from 1985-1991, and a member of the New York city council from 1992-1998. At the time, he was the youngest person ever elected to the NY city council. Weiner was elected to Congress in 1998, to fill the open seat left when Schumer ran for the Senate.

In 2005, he ran for mayor of New York, and finished second in the Democratic primary.
